COCOA-GR is a multicentre Greek registry of people undergoing coronary CT angiography for clinical reasons.
Why your participation matters
CCTA can identify early or non-obstructive atherosclerosis, overall plaque burden and other imaging features that may relate to future cardiovascular risk.
The value of these findings becomes greater when combined over time with information about health outcomes. This is why systematic registration and long-term follow-up are important.
What do we want to learn?
- How frequently obstructive and non-obstructive coronary disease occurs in Greece.
- Which CCTA findings are associated with future cardiovascular events.
- How imaging findings and conventional risk factors can improve individual risk assessment.
- How CCTA is used in everyday clinical practice and how its use can be improved.
What information may be recorded?
With consent, the registry may include demographic and clinical data, cardiovascular risk factors, medication, the reason for CCTA and the CCTA findings, together with long-term follow-up.
How are my data protected?
Study data are used in pseudonymised form under a unique participant code. Research imaging is stripped of personal identifiers and data handling follows GDPR and the applicable personal-data framework.
Is participation voluntary?
Yes. Participation is voluntary and the decision to participate or not does not affect medical care or the examination.
